Dr. J. S. Patil in weekly interaction 12 June, 2012
Dr. J. S. Patil, Vice-Chancellor, Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) was the chief guest in the National Weekly Discussions through Amrita University's A-VIEW envisaged by MHRD under NME-ICT mission on June 6, 2012.
The topic of the session was Indian Renaissance.
Dr. Patil seating from his office at Karnataka said "By utilizing Amrita University's e-learning platform A-VIEW and NME-ICT connectivity, India can be developed as intellectual super power."
India: A powerful nation
While speaking about Indian Renaissance, he said India has been a great civilization for almost 5000 years. "Our country was known for its unity in diversity. However, we lost our legacy due to foreign invasion," he pointed out.
He added that Indians in modern India are still under the influence of colonial distortions.

Hats off to A-VIEW team
On the occasion, Dr. Patil appreciated A-VIEW and NME-ICT team for empowering education sector by using advanced technology.
Around 16 Universities including Jayapee Institute of Information Technology, CV Raman University, IASE University Rajasthan, Lakireddy Balireddy College of Engineering, MS University of Baroda and Pondicherry University and Punjab Technical University participated.
A-VIEW is an E-Learning platform, developed by Amrita University's E-Learning Research Lab, which is a state-of-the-art software for distance education and collaboration.
