To be considered for the APPSC Group 2 position, candidates must first appear for the APPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam. Those who have passed the prelims exam are then shortlisted to take the APPSC Group 2 Mains Exam. APPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern – Prelims Exam
The APPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam is only a screening stage to shortlist candidates for the main exam. The exam comprises 150 multiple-choice questions and is divided into three sections which are General Studies and Mental Ability, Social History of Andhra Pradesh and Indian Constitution, and Planning in India and Economic Problems. Candidates should be aware that there is a negative marking of one-third of a mark for every incorrect answer. The exam duration is 150 minutes.
