SSC CGL 2023 Selection Process (Revised)

Check the multiple stages of the SSC CGL Selection Process

  1. Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination (Qualifying in nature)
  2. Tier-II: Paper I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper-II for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Paper III for candidates who apply for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
  • Candidates who have successfully applied for the SSC CGL exam will receive Roll numbers and Admit Cards to participate in the Computer Based Examination (Tier-I).
  • Shortlisting for Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations will be based on the marks obtained in Tier-I, category-wise.
  • Separate cut-offs will be released for Paper-II of Tier-II (Junior Statistical Officer), Paper-III of Tier-II (Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer), and Paper-I of Tier-II (other posts).
  • Tier-II Examinations will be mandatory for all candidates who have qualified in Tier-I.
  • In Tier II, candidates will be required to appear for Paper-I, II, and Paper III. However, only selected candidates for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer positions will need to appear for Paper-II and Paper III, respectively.

SSC CGL 2023 Application Fee

  • The required application fee is Rs. 100/-
  • No fee is required to be paid by the female, SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

SSC CGL 2023 Exam Pattern (Revised)

The SSC has announced a new exam pattern for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam in the latest SSC CGL Notification 2023. The exam will now be conducted in two tiers, as outlined below:

For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted due to negative marking. All you have to note down that there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of the Section-3 of Paper-1 and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-I.
