RRC/ RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2023

The RRB Group D CBT Exam is a 100 mark test comprising 100 questions. Each question holds one mark, while a 1/3 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. Candidates are given 90 minutes to complete the RRB Group D Exam.

RRB Group D 2nd Stage – PET

Candidates who qualify for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) based on their merit. The number of candidates called for the PET will be three times the total number of vacancies in each community. However, the Railways Board may increase or decrease this ratio as needed to ensure that a sufficient number of candidates are available for all notified posts. Passing the PET is mandatory, and it will be considered as a qualifying test. The criterion for the PET will be as follows:

Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down
Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in 1 chance Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in 1 chance

RRB Group D 3rd Stage – Document Verification

Once the candidates have completed the Computer Based Test (CBT) and qualified in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), they will be called for the document verification stage based on their performance in the CBT. It is important to note that shortlisted candidates must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer on the day of their Document Verification. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their candidature. Additionally, all signatures on documents submitted by the candidates should be identical, either in English or Hindi.
