CTET 2023 Exam Pattern

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be held in two phases, namely Paper-I for Class I-V and Paper-II for Class VI-VIII. Each paper will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and no negative marks will be deducted for any wrong answers. The difficulty level of Paper-I will be of the second stage, and Paper-II will be of the senior secondary stage. The CTET Paper-1 is segregated into five sections which are Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I & II, Mathematics, and Environmental Science. On the other hand, the CTET Paper-2 is divided into four sections, namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I & II, Mathematics/ Science, and Social Studies. Candidates will have the option to choose between Maths/ Science and Social Studies.
